Jennifer A. MacDowell represents individuals and closely-held businesses with various tax controversy matters at both the federal and state levels. Jennifer assists clients with audits, appeals, collection matters, and tax court litigation. A significant portion of her practice involves resolving tax liabilities through the IRS Offer in Compromise program. Jennifer is especially proficient with “In-Business Offers,” wherein payroll tax issues become much more complex and can involve the individual shareholders and/or members. Jennifer also prepares tax returns for individuals and businesses, performs legal research, and drafts various court-related documents and legal memoranda.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Mount Union with a double minor in Pre-Law and Business. She received her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Jennifer is currently a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio Women’s Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
